I stumbled upon this ramen restaurant while riding along Route 307. The restaurant opens at 11:30 AM, and when I arrived around 11:40 AM, there was already an incredibly long line. I waited for about 45 minutes before finally getting my ramen. Unfortunately, the Tsukemen (limited to 20 servings per day) was already sold out, but the other noodle dishes were equally fantastic. Read morePepper lovers, you’re in luck. Appareya My Ramen is a small shop in the hills of Joyo City, Kyoto and they serve up lots of peppery ramen goodness. Their delicious smoked chashu has a lot of black pepper taste and their salt broth has distinct notes of fish, pork, and Sichuan pepper. They also hand make their amazing noodles. I ordered their Nigo Chashu Ramen for 1150¥, which is a bit deeper broth than their usual. You can upsize to a large portion of noodle for free.

A lot of bamboo shoots are added normally and have a nice ginger flavor to keep you refreshed.
