Everything about this cafe is amazing. The vibes inside are like a cozy cabin. The farm animals outside are intriguing. And the food is amazing. Their plates are big as your order comes along with sides. I ordered the tuna baguette and it came with a sausage, side salad, and pumpkin soup. The pumpkin soup is light yet very flavorful - I was obsessed. The tuna baguette’s bread was fluffy and delicious on top the tuna, melted cheese, small diced onions all melded well. And the side salad added a nice lightness to the whole dish. The sausage was of good quality and had a nice crunch on the exterior. My husband ordered the hamburger - so fluffy, light, and cooked to perfection. The flavor of the meat was so good I preferred it without the sauce. My husband mentioned it was the best he’s had. Read moreWe stopped by for a coffe but reurned every day for amazing food. I must say this was the best food we ever had in a restaurant. There are just few dishes in the menu but each and everyone is made with love, the balance of tastes was simply perfect. The dumpkin soup amazed us with new flavours, the roasted pork curry was just melting in mouth, gratin was the best one i ever had, even the tuna toast was everything but simple. The stuff was 3 lovely girls that were super kind and helpfull and we can't describe how greatfull we are for experiencing this delicious food, coffe, sweets, hot chocolate with such an amazing atmosphere (super cozy farmhouse). The menu was all in Japanese but ordering was no problem with google translator (camera) and communcation with stuff was no problem :) For sure we will come back next year...
Read moreWow what a treat! We were originally not planning to eat here but because of bad weather, we need to change our plans and we found this restaurant. We are so lucky we did. The roast pork plate was extremely tender and had a light but flavorful taste to it. The Hamburg was also quite tender and seasoned well. I also recommend getting coffee here since they roast it in-house and the flavor was so pleasant. Lastly, the hot milk was such a pleasure to drink for my fiancée. I like how the meals come with veggies and soup.
The restaurant itself is such a vibe. Modern rustic log cabin charm. You have a nice view of the farm from upstairs and the Biei/Furano area. Service was friendly and attentive.
We will certainly come back to Kaneko the next time we’re...
