Lega' — Restaurant in Katsuragi

Dining at Lega' was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The food was incredible, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. We loved the intimate vibe of Lega' and it was so exciting watching chef Shogo cook and explain each course with such care. Our dinner was an ode to the local ingredients of Nara and we enjoyed it immensely. The hospitality was warm and gracious, and the staff spoke excellent English, which made the whole experience incredibly smooth and enjoyable. We went out of our way to visit, and would absolutely do it again....

One of the more surprising experiences I've ever had in Japan. Have yet to try the Italian food here and this was our only stop from the Michelin guide. We booked a lunch experience and it was basically a private showcase of Chef Sugawara Shogo's experience with local ingredients mixed with Italian ingredients. Even the Non-Alcholic pairing with the meal was a treat. Can't wait...
