Please do yourselves a favor and support local small business by getting your morning caffeine fix in Shimoda area. With big brand coffee chains still staying away from Izu area this is your only option to get gourmet coffee with non dairy products. It took me an hour to find a soy latte near Shimoda and I am extremely happy that I found this place. Friendly service, lovely décor and coffee quality to die for! I went twice during my last trip to Izu, including taking a detour on my way back to Tokyo. Totally worth it! Advice to shop: Get bigger cups for large size (triple espresso shots are welcome) Get some food options, like packed sandwiches or pankaces Get some options for kids like cocoa or fresh juices Keep doing what you do and I hope to see you expand to other areas in Izu! Super simple place with a lovely atmosphere and incredibly friendly host. They had only one food option at the time, Keema Curry, which was amazing. The pastry coating was flakey and soft and the actual filling was rich and slightly sweet. It was raining so this curry warmed us up and left me with a full stomach. For the coffee, it had been difficult for my wife to find a good latte with proper soy milk but this place had it. I kept it simple with an Americano. Was looking for a hot cup of latte for a cold day and chanced upon this place on google maps. My husband and I went without any expectations but the cafe latte and matcha latte were absolutely delicious. It is quite rare to find espresso based coffee in Izu, and the milk they used made the drinks even better!
