What a gem in Kawagoe! We ordered moqueca (Brazilian fish stew) which was made in the Bahia style and it was more-ish and delicious. The ingredients used were authentic and its flavors will definitely bring you back to Brazil! Everything we ordered was meticulously crafted and lovingly prepared. 行きたい所とブックマークしてから、もう7年も経つ。それでも行けなかったのは自分の住むところから高速を使っても2時間かかり、その近くに用事のあるような施設も無かったからだ。 ところがふと、自転車で行けば高速代も浮く上に健康にも良く、お腹も減って美味しさが増すという良いことづくめじゃないかと気付いた。そして気温4℃の朝6時に出発して、1800m上って峠を3つ越え、140km走って無事到着した。 お店の中も外も非常に清潔で、当然のようにグラスや皿は光輝いており、小さい子供がベタベタ触ったようなところも、退店したらすぐに清掃する徹底ぶりだ。これほど清潔なお店は、まるで高級店のようだ。 食事はワンプレートにメインディッシュに加えてご飯、サラダ、モーリョ、フェジョンで完結した形で供され、お洒落なイタリアンのように盛り付けられ、丁度良い量であった。ブラジル料理だからといって、食べ放題である必要も、多すぎて身体に悪いような必要もなく、実に正しい形の食事がそこにある。 味も塩分少なめで、基本となる味それぞれのバランスが良く、飽きることなくもっと食べたいという衝動に駆られる。ご飯はブラジルの油ご飯という感じではないので、日本人には食べやすいし、塩分少なめのメインディッシュには合っている。柿の入った人参のサラダには、口の中でメインディッシュの箸休めのような効果があった。 この清潔さ、美味しさを考えたら、実に良心的な値段だと感じた。そして、オリジナルのフェジョアーダのレトルトを買って帰れば自宅で余韻に浸ることができるのだ。
