A Hidden Gem in Okuōikojō Station: A Cafe That Stole My Heart.

My recent trip to Shizuoka led me to an unexpected treasure: a small cafe nestled within the Okuōikojō Station. It wasn't just the food that made this my best find; it was the incredible warmth and genuine hospitality of the two ladies behind the counter. They truly felt like "big sisters," showering every visitor with kindness that touched my soul. I can not recommend this cafe highly enough to anyone exploring the Okuōikojō Observatory, the station itself, or the breathtaking Rainbow Bridge. Trust me, a visit here will be a decision you won't regret.

This was a welcome cafe above a train station which is deep in the mountains of Shizuoka. It was a very wet day when we went however this cafe had a nice warm feeling to it, and silly us assuming that the cheese cake is cold but it came out as frozen sticks with different flavours. 😂There’s a balcony and hammock to really enjoy the scenery on a nice day. All the menu is in Japanese but nothing google translate can’t fix. こんな所にビジネスチャンス！ ナント『カフェ』です。 奥大井湖上駅には『抹茶の自動販売機』以外、数人が座れる『雨除け』とカップルで鳴らして下さい！の『鐘』しかなく、ホームから数分上った 坂の上にオシャレな建物が在ります。 期間・週末限定営業のお店ですが、ナント入り口は施錠されていません。 トイレ利用に困らない様に開放してくれています。 しかも建物内の机や椅子も利用できます。 雨天や寒冷時の待機場所の意味合いも持っているのかも知れません。 折角のご厚意ですので汚したり、破損やゴミの放置などもってのほかですよ！ この立地でお値段は常識的。『小田〇正』さんもご来店です。 店舗裏手の蛇口からは水がず～っと出っぱなしでした。 凍結防止の為に流水させています。勝手に閉じないで下さい。 此処でフト疑問。水源はどうしてる？ 裏山の中に給水曹が設置され、パイプで水を引き込んでいました。 井戸なのか水道なのかは分かりませんでしたがこんな場所にまで水道設備が完備していることに驚きです。 しまった。トイレが水洗かどうか確かめなかった。 水洗ならば下水管が通っているのか、簡易式受水槽なのか？ 誰か教えてくださいな。

2024年春。再訪しました。 湖面の色は相変わらずの美しさ。 そしてトイレも利用させていただきました。普通の水洗じゃん。 静か～な時間がゆったり流れている時、突然エンジン音が響いてきました。モーターボートが水上スキーを引っ張って湖面をスラロームしています。 正直言って興冷めです。競技ボートやカヌーの練習場になっているのは知っていましたけど。 その内、我が物顔で水上バイクが走り回...
