Bebenko — Restaurant in Kokonoe

How is this place only at 3.9 stars?! First of all the atmosphere of this establishment is amazing. The view overlooking the fields, the mountains in the distance-it doesn’t get any better than this.

Ordering the food was super easy using a tablet at the counter. We got beef and chicken dishes, and kabosu drinks. Pictured is the beef croquette set, which features tender beef with potato in a crispy breaded shell. The pickles that came with the set meal paired excellently with the rice, but were unfortunately not refillable.

The beef was succulent-literally melting in our mouths. Chicken was crisp yet juicy. Definitely recommend...

Pity to say that the shop is now self service and the good atmosphere that once was Bebenko is now gone. Although the food is good the amount is much less than it used to be. I ordered chicken and there were 5 small pieces in my plate that looked more than a side order than...

Beef yakiniku is highly recommended. Chicken tempura was cooked really well too. I believe the produce is from the local farm area, so everything tasted very fresh.

A nice spot to rest while driving through this mountainous region. Great views of the mountain...
