A nice cozy restaurant just along the coastal road from Kumamoto to Yanagawa. The sushi and sashimi are very fresh. Price reasonable and the portions are big. The lady that attended to us despite not able to speak English, was very patient and attentive. We ordered two sets (full complete set) that comes with rice, sushi, sashimi, tempura, chawanmushi, fish head with turnip and fish bone soup for 2200 yen per set. Loved the fish head skin, full of collagen though a tad bit sweet. Then we ordered another premium sushi which was super fresh, thick and delicious at 1500 yen. To top all of that, service was fast and superb. Food presentation beautiful and colorful. There are free parking at the restaurant but the area is a bit tight, so parking can be very limited if there is crowd. We were there after lunch, so it wasn't that crowded. They are closed at 2.30 pm and will open again in the evening.

Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. Stopped here for a late lunch on the way to Kagoshima. Highly recommend this place. Reasonably priced. Very friendly staff.

海沿いの国道501号線から、急勾配の坂道を下って住宅街の狭い道路をしばらく走ると「寿司きよ」さんはあります。 開店から10分程で席が埋まっていきます (　ﾟдﾟ)スゴっ！たくさんの方から支持されているんですね。 握り盛合わせの【寿司きよにぎり】と【天ぷら盛合わせ】を注文しました。 【寿司きよにぎり】はネタが大きいですね〜(*'▽'*) しかもウニ、イクラ、タイも入ってて中身も結構豪華なんです♪ 新鮮だし美味しいなあ。 ひとくちで食べたいけど、、、ネタが大きくて食べきれないです (*´-`) お行儀悪くするつもりはないけど( ´△｀) お寿司は満足度高めです。 お寿司屋さんに行くと天ぷらが食べたくなります。 サクサクと丁度良く揚がってます。 お寿司屋さんの天ぷらって美味しいですよね(*^^*) お腹いっぱいになりました。 ご馳走さまでした♪
