Kikunoya Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Kyotango

I have lived in Kyotango for one year. During that time I went to Kikunoya Restaurant many times. I love that they change their menu according to the season. If you have a knowledge of dashi you will realize that this shop is actually making real dashi - the flavor is very different. Especially when trying Nabeyaki udon you will feel the difference. Sashimi is extremely special. At Kikunoya a lot of different fish are used. Also small fish which are a pain to prepare, are used. I ate aji, tobi-uo, hatahata, shibi and even nodoguro in the regular sashimi menu. I would definitely recommend trying the sashimi tempura teishoku - I miss it so much. After wandering around Kyotango, we were glad to find Kikunoya open for dinner. There's no English menu available but the owner was very sweet, asked for our preferences and served a tempura and sashimi set.

店内はとても清潔感があり、よく見ればみるほど高級料亭が定食屋の衣をかぶってるようです👏

目当ての内の1つ、ちらし寿司の【金猫】はこれ用のお魚が今日は取れなかったということで、もう一つの目当ての 【鯛スープラーメン】770円をオーダー✨

スープうまい…もうこれだけで満足できるうまさ。 透き通った見た目とは裏腹に、旨みが深い！ 麺は小麦が効いてるシンプルなタイプ。

トーンとのせられた鯛のアラがめちゃくちゃ甘い！！！！ 思わず拍手！👏 出来るかわからんけど、今度来たら鯛のあらをあと2つ乗せれないか聞きいてみたい！😆

この時期はワカメが美味しいときいてたけど、ほんと、プリップリ！ このワカメのお出汁もスープの旨みに影響している気がします。

天かすとチンゲンサイも、見た目のうまそう！という感じをアップしていますが、お味はスープをお邪魔しない脇役をきちんとこなしています。 はぁ最高です。

お刺身も食べたかったので、単品で 【刺身盛り合わせ】小780円も。 7種類！11切れ！綺麗〜✨ マグロや金目鯛、鯛もはいってます。 金目鯛なんか炙ってあるし🥺 全部口当たり優しく美味しい！ こちらも鯛が2種類とも甘い！ トロける。 刺身でトロけるって今まであったっけ？

夫くんは刺身と天ぷら両方食べれる 【刺天定食】1780円 天ぷらも豪華で、見たことない山菜もはいっており、これは満足！ お刺身は私が食べた小と同じでした！
