The Ambiente here is absolutely stunning for japan standards. You actually get kind of like a french chateau feeling. A house build in the middle of nowhere with a parking lot. So hyped by that lets go on to what they offer. And that really did not convince me. So if you are a „Italian Pizza Restaurant“, why would you serve Foie Gras together with Bruschetta? Also the other appetizer’s and pasta were not.. convincing. Something mixed, something else but surely not italian pizza restaurant. Also they offer Homemade Focaccia, but they actually charged us extra 50 Yen for delivering a tiny tiny bit of oliveoil to the table. That was absolutely ridiculous and also let to the 2 Star Rating. They of course mentioned it several times, but to me it is just ridiculous to charge for oliveoil to the bread.

Now to the main courses. Pizza Prosciutto was supposed to come with literal salad (lettuce etc.) on top. I kindly refused that but only later on noticed the biggest ick. There was no tomato sauce on it… There goes the taste. The worst part about the pizza was that it was not properly baked. I attached a picture of that so see for yourself. I did not say anything at that moment because if they are sending out such halfbaked stuff out of the kitchen with us being the only guests than…Yeah and no mascarpone or rucola on that as well. No crispyness, so 1 Star for the Pizza.

To me the restaurant is an actually well thought out concept but it lacks so much of the „original italian“ style. In Japanese you...

Surprisingly good restaurant in the south of Izu peninsula. The atmosphere is great, a but giblish, clean and bright. The owner-chef have been in Italy so he have the fundamentals. His pizza is not Napoli style but still good, dough is made of Japanese flour and is soft and fragrant. Just do not expect Napoli style pizza and you will be fine. Focaccia is also good, light and tasty. Maybe lack a bit of oil and salt to be like the authentic one but I think is targeted to the Japanese customers' tastes. They are aware of vegetarians and vegan needs and are happy to accompdate them. Despite not an authentic expresso, coffee is good too. Both the owners are friendly and offer a good and professional service. Price is not cheap...

Highly Recommend place. Best season to visit in End of March to First weeks of April. You can see beautiful Sakura flowers around this area and after that you can have a great meal in this restaurant.Very clean, friendly staff will support you especially if you are vegan they will make some special foods even they are super busy in March. Make sure to make a reservation before you go there because this restaurant is very busy all the time.even you make a reservation you might have to wait for some time. Food is very delicious and you can have good food...
