Bagel Funs — Restaurant in Meiwa

My nickname for their bagels is the "UN-Bagel", sort of a play on the name, but also to indicate that they have a nice unusual bagel. If you go there to get a bagel experience such as that in the US you will be disappointed. Bagel Funs items are softer, more cake-like and generally sweeter, if not sweet. My favorite is the green tea one with an sweet bean paste filling.

I would give them five stars except for an unusual business policy of closing once all the stocks are gone. Very unprofessional from a western point of view but fairly common among small "boutique" vendors here. Too bad there isn't an app or something for notifications.

I discovered the company since they visited my company once a month or so at lunch time. I had to do without for many years due to a position change. 地元で人気のベーグル屋さん。 実家にいた時、散歩途中に立ち寄ってみました。

この辺はコンビニも少なくて、ちょっとした買い物も徒歩だと、だいたい2キロ弱の道のりとなります。 クルマをちょいのりするのが普通なのでしょうが、普段から歩いてるので、この日もコンビニ目指して朝からお散歩。新しくできたセブンイレブンに行ってみると、向かい側にこのお店をばっちりしました。 店内にはいると、たくさんの種類のベーグルが！ さすが専門店ですね～。 ヘルシーなものから、食事会サンド系まであります。だいたい300円くらいのリーズナブルなお値段設定です。 この日のチョイスは、いろんな種類がはいった一番人気のやつと、チョコと、海老とアボカドのサンドをテイクアウトしました。

初めてお店に入りましたが、イートインもあって食事メニューもありました。 おしゃれカフェっぽくていいですね～✨ 朝早くからオーブンしているのもありがたかったです。

この辺りではこのようなお店が少ないので嬉しいですね。最近増えてきてるのかなぁ。 ベーグルはもちもちふっくらで食べやすくて美味しい！ 海老とアボカドのサンドもハーフサイズでランチにピッタリですね～✨

いやこれ何て丁寧な仕事なの!!? 絶対手間かかるよ〜😭 少しずつ色んな味を楽しんでもらいたい という想いが伝わってきて感動すら覚える。

そして肝心のお味にも感動。 ベーグルってもっとぎっしり詰まってて わりと硬めのイメージだったけど こちらのお店のは、ふわっふわ💓 天然酵母がポイントなのだろうか。

特にパンプキンが、かぼちゃ🎃味 濃くて超気に入った♡
