Absolutely fantastic place to stay for a walking henro. You can feel cared for, welcomed and rest well. Night sounds from the fields and mountains are amazing. Host is lovely lady, that will give you warm welcome, make way to much delicious food made from local ingredients for you, and give you local style sake that she makes herself. I slept in a detached house and it was modern, clean and comfortable. Wifi is onboard and cold beer is awaiting in the fridge. You can do your laundry as well. Many of the dishes are homemade, like the hoshigaki, pickled beets and radish, konjac, etc. We had wild boar that her husband hunted, fried fish, and a nabe made with doburoku that warmed me right up! The room is spacious and has a heated carpet that is just so comfortable I could fall asleep on it.
