Porto Cervo — Restaurant in Miyakojima

I had dinner at Porto Cervo on the 7th May, 2024.

I read many negative reviews here on Google, however I wanted to try as my hotel was really near by. Food was excellent, great pizza (perhaps mozzarella cheese to be improved and ideally use some of the buffalo milk from Miyakojima to make your own), Bolognese pasta was also excellent (freshly tasty meat sauce) and the Tiramisu was SPECIAL!!! Definitely recommend it. Also the staff was very kind and professional.

I got explained that the chefs may vary from season to season or even month to months, so that could be the reason for some inconsistency but in my experience from the other day, I was positively impressed and definitely better than the other Italian restaurants in the Shigira...

What a gem of a restaurant!! They fit us in without reservation. Food was fast but very, very delicious!! Service was amazing as well! Very kind and friendly staff. We’re only on the island for the weekend and planning a trip back to eat again! Prices were great, we shared salad, an app, pizza and pasta. SO delish!! Every dish!!

Editing since we came back the next night. We did the all you can eat course meal. I simply can not say enough good things about the food or the service! Tsudamarie was our server both nights. She, plus several other staff and servers came to explain each course to us. It was lovely and some of the most delicious fresh fish I have...

We came here as a family for lunch after visiting the historic german village. Why this restaurant isn't German is a little weird. However, they do have a few German options on the menu. I'm American, but I can read and speak Japanese decently. However, I was not given an English menu for 5 minutes (I didn't even know it was an option). All that being said, the service was good.
