Sushi,Tora,Sinbeppu,Honten — Restaurant in Miyazaki

For non Japanese travellers, there’s a machine outside that asks four question, 1st is how many people are in your pack, 2nd, are you ok with counter? (Only option there anw) 3rd, do you have any kids with you? (Not sure why maybe first question doesn’t segregate) 4th is that all? Do you confirm getting ticket?

They will print out a ticket with your number and you may just wait outside .

I went there at 440 and the carpark was already packed mostly with locals. I only knew of the ticket machine later on but all of those that took it went in immediately.

Their nigiri is legit AF.

I took the Maguro set and my face almost cramped. The tuna taste like beef with a slight taint of the sea. Seabeef.

In October, we had dinner at Sushi Tora, Shinbeppu Honten, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, helping our child settle in comfortably. They provided kid-friendly tableware, which made the meal more enjoyable for him.

The sushi was fresh and offered a variety of types to choose from. The prawns, in particular, were a standout—both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

Although my son isn’t a big fan of sushi, he loved the chips, which reminded him of the kind of food he enjoys in England. It was a nice touch and gave him a familiar taste during our trip.

One hour wait on a Saturday around 6-7pm in January 2023 after getting a ticket. The queue ticket machine is difficult to use for foreigners who don’t read Japanese.

The sushi was great, we enjoyed the high quality seafood. In particular the scallops, shirako tempura was stellar in taste.

They have a touchscreen with pictures of the sushi. The touchscreen is all in japanese. Look out for the daily specials for the great tasting seasonal seafood. After eating i was satisfied and the wait somewhat justified. Overall worth...
