Very local food at a tourist spot. Price is reasonable and staff are very friendly. The view is superb.

We had lunch at the restaurant. It is the machine ticket. Thet have a pictures of menu and number show at the front. You just remeber the number of your chooses menu and press that number which is very helpfull. They serve some snake with hot tea. By the way, the food is so so.

【2016.02訪問】 徳島駅周辺で呑んだくれた翌日は思い付きで祖谷渓巡り。 長々と続くワインディングロードが楽しい。 運転好きにはたまらん道。 だが！とっても疲れる！！٩(๑´0`๑)۶ 時計を見るともう二時間近く走っている。 でもってここらで休憩。 『レストランまんなか』にIN。 店の前には祖谷そばの立ち食いカウンターがあり、出汁のええ香りがポワ～ンと立ちこめる。 祖谷そばは未だ食べた事が無い。こりゃ喰わない手は無さそうっす！ 中では川下りの受付をしていた。 少しココロ揺らいだが、この日は非常に寒い日。 景色はいいだろうが船上はフルオープン。 どう考えても地獄だ(￣◇￣;) よって却下！！ おとなしく祖谷そばを食す事にした。（店内で座って・・・） 食堂内はだだっ広く、殺風景だ。 ただし窓側は祖谷系を望めていい眺め。 首尾よく窓側に座れた。 ■祖谷そば 400円 を注文。 テーブルには茶菓が置かれている。 聞くとサービスらしい。気前いいっすね！ そばが出て来る前にモグモグ・・・ 大歩危めぐりってお菓子、ネチ～っとした食感が独特だ。 中にはこしあんが入っており素朴で美味しい菓子だ。 ほどなくして祖谷そばが出て来た。 あげ、かまぼこ、ネギ。 見た目は非常にシンプルなそばだね。 早速出汁を一口・・・ めちゃ！うまい！！ 薄味ではあるが、旨み凝縮出汁は深みアリアリ！超デイープな旨みっす！ 麺・・・これは特筆するほどのもんではありません。 コシは無く、噛むとパツッっと切れるタイプ。 出汁が良すぎて麺の良さが見出せません！ しかしこれはまた食べたいお蕎麦となりました。 美味しかったです、ごちそうさま！

Food was just okay, nothing to shout about. Only place to eat around the sightseeing boat so we had no choice but to try this place out. Serving time is quite quick as there were not too many customers.

Worst kakigori I’ve ever had - just really chunky ice rather than shavings. It was like trying to eat ice cubes! The views over the gorge from the restaurant were nice, though.

川下り終了後、ちょうどお昼の時間だったんでお食事を頂きました✋食券で頂くタイプですね(´ρ`)今日は暑かったのでざる蕎麦の大盛といなり寿司を頂きました🍴🙏ぱっと見た目は超大盛か～って思いましたが中に氷が入ってました(^o^ゞ量的にはちょうどでした✋蕎麦は祖谷蕎麦のイメージではなくて(祖谷蕎麦は10割蕎麦みたいなイメージ)普通の蕎麦でしたね🎵美味しゅう頂きました(´ρ`)窓際は眺めが良くて窓際にたくさんお客さんがいましたが自分達の席には蜂🐝がいたため移動しました(・・;)食堂内はセルフサービスでしたね😅
