Marutomi — Restaurant in Mombetsu

We went for lunch after the monbetsu port festival in July-25. This place was busy and I can understand why.

The restaurant is clean and hygienic and very comfortable, there is both table counter seats and floor seating where you take off your shoes.

Everyone we saw ate their dishes clean. The seafood bowl and the plate of fried crumbed seafood was what most people were ordering. So we ordered one of each.

My wife loved her seafood bowl but was super jealous of my crumbed fish set. The scallop was the right texture, the salmon was thick and bursting with flavour and I especially liked the white fish.

Butter scallops so good they make you wanna head but your mamma. Very warm and accommodating restaurant. Had spacious seating for the baby. Staff was very friendly and came over to check on the baby a couple of times. Food was delicious however the kaisen don and grilled scallops (although to die for) were a-bit expensive.
