Nonchalant — Restaurant in Muroran

I am usually looking for a really great beef stew, in where the meat is tender as butter, melts in your mouth, and it is abundant too. Very rare here in Japan, where in " beef stew" you find mostly potetoes instead of meat, especially in family restaurants... Well this restaurant is famous for it's pork chop, but have beef stew too in menu, but beef stew is not always available, especially not when you make a long drive from Sapporo to Muroran, hungry longing in your mind for a perfect beef stew, but had to make a compromise with myself and had a pork chop. That was impressive...two large slice of pork with demigras souce. Best with fried rice with prawn. Next week I called them from Sapporo, and ordered the beef stew. They made it. It was abundant, lot of big cubes of beef, but...it wasn't that awesomely tender, it didn't melted in my mouth. Taste it was OK...but was missing something, some spice. After that meal had to use heavily lots of toothpicks. After a good beef stew, toothpicks are literally unnecessary. Next time I probably choose the pork chop. 夜に1人で訪問 ポークチャップ2220円とオムライス1200円を注文 ポークチャップは400gあり、流石ボリュームがありました。少し脂が多めでしたがぺろりと食べれました。ハーフもありますが、値段は2/3程度と割高なので400の方がオススメです。 ソースがドロっとしててくっつきやすくで食べやすいです。あと人参が甘くて美味しかったです。

オムライスも具材が玉ねぎ、鶏肉のみのシンプルなものでしたが、ケチャップの味付けも程よく美味しかったです。量もしっかりありました。

ただ味は良かったものの、そこまで原材料費が高そうには見えないものの値段が高額であったことが気になります。

シェフが1人であることと、周辺に本格的な洋食店がないことから高くても来る客がいる分この値段設定が成立してるのだと思いますが。

値段の割にサービスは今ひとつ。 ・カウンターに座ってるのに空のグラスを台に置いても水を注いでくれない(テーブル用にピッチャーはありましたが) シェフとは別に女性店員が2人、閉店間際で客は自分だけだったので、水を注ぐくらい気を効かして欲しいところでした。 ・インゲンが数本中2本は筋が取れていない。ミスなのか途中で面倒くさくなったのか分かりませんが、とれてるものととられてないものが混ざってるのは逆に違和感をおぼえました。 ・熱々の鉄板を前に出されたものの、紙エプロン等の提示がなく、白いTシャツだったのでソースが飛び散りました。

味は良かったものの、値段に見合ったサービスが乏しく...
