This restaurant, run by the mother-son duo, Junko-san and Masa-san, is one of the most welcoming places I've been to. Despite my limited Japanese, they greeted me warmly, making me feel right at home. Despite dining alone, they reserved a spot for me at the hot table where I could watch them cook okonomiyaki in front of me. I requested a vegetarian option without lard or meat, and they graciously accommodated my request. Masa-san, the young chef, also offered helpful advice on visiting a hiking site, while his mother, Junko-san, treated me to some delicious sweet daikon. The okonomiyaki itself was huge and absolutely delicious—I'm grateful I arrived hungry that day. Both Masa and Junko-san made my stay in Nagahama truly memorable. I could never fully repay them for their hospitality and kindness, but I pray that they'll always be happy and in good health.

Excellent find while we were waiting for the van from our hotel to pick us up. We knew the next day we were going to stop for lunch before we got on the train. Boy am I glad we did. The food was amazing. I had the fried rice w pork, onions and egg. My husband and son had Hiroshimayaki they said it was probably the best meal they have had. Mother and son are the owners and the son speaks a little English but google translate did just fine. I’m so glad we stumbled upon this place.

The place was unfortunately all booked up so we had the food as a take out and received green tea cans as a gift to go. The food was delicious by the way and the staff was super nice to us. Would definitely visit again.
