I came here on a Wednesday afternoon. It's one of the best onsens in Nagoya. It's good for several reason: first, it's conveniently situated at Sanno Kintetsu station ( 近鉄山王駅), just a three-minute walk to take you there. You could enjoy 岩盤浴 (がんばんよく) on top of 温泉 (おんせん) plus you got gaming machines (e.g. slot machines), hair cutting, Thai massage, facial treatment, ... the list of additional services could go on and on and on. That said, if compared with Canal Resort, it would still lose. But I do think it had an edge over Nagashima Onsen ( 長島温泉) in that it was much more accessible. There should have been one caveat: remember to bring along everything you'd need, coz there was few, if at all, free stuffs here. Read moreWe came here twice during our stay in Nagoya. Pretty nice sento with light sauna (36-55°) where you lay on the rocks and obviously with hot springs. Sauna (named stone-bath) and relax area are mixed so you both male and female can enter together (clothes will be given at the reception). Sauna costs 600¥ / person. Read moreIf you are looking for a place to chill and relax. This is it. Only 1 time entry free is required for onsen (800 yen). You can stay as long as you like. There are multiple onsen areas with different level of water temperature. They also have jet onsen as well as outdoor and indoor. Both is available. You can also use the lounge to take a short nap. Food in the restaurant is pretty good too. Massage chair is also available but you have to pay.
