Base Camp Coffee — Restaurant in Nakagawa

A wonderfully relaxed little curry restaurant hidden in the hills. Serves a very tasty Japanese style curry and that is all you really need to know. Pure comfort food. Four levels of spicy, I went level 2 spice but I feel next time I will go super hot at level one. Staff are super friendly. No English but you can google translate your way through the menu and so you should be fine. It wasn’t super cheap but then again I was pretty greedy :-) Takes all cards and cash so all very easy. Bit hard to notice driving up the hill so just a note to say it is on the left on a bend...

カレー好きの嫁さんの為に伺いました。思っていたよりもかなり山道を登って行ったところにお店はありましたが、お店までの道は広めなので問題なし。人気店で混んでいるとのことだったので、一応予約（？）の電話みたいなものをしてから伺いました。到着したのはちょうどお昼時で思っていた通り満席で、しばらくの間クルマの中で順番待ち。携帯電話の番号を伝えていたのですが、ご主人がわざわざクルマまで呼びに来てくれました。注文はお目当てのスープカレー。辛さは5段階から選べ、ご飯の量は大盛り、小盛りも選べました。私の選択は2番目に辛くない方の“スパイシー”でしたが、大変美味でした。いい感じのスパイシーさはあるものの、尖った辛さはなくとても食べやすい。おそらく辛いのが少し苦手な人でも真ん中の“中辛”までは余裕でいけるのではないでしょうか。また、ご夫婦お二人の接客は丁寧というか、穏やかというかとても良い雰囲気。来てよかった、また来たいなぁと思わせる何ともいい感じのカフェでした。次回伺った際はスープカレーの“中辛...
