ごはん処 滝本 — Restaurant in Nankoku

I was still wondering why I'd come here which seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, for breakfast! I ended up at the Takimoto bus stop yesterday for my walking henro. This morning I took the bus to come back and started walking again. I did not have time for breakfast before boarding the bus, so I searched if there are any eateries around Takimoto and found this cafe. It is a nice cafe serving set breakfast and lunch. For a 500 yen breakfast, you got fresh salad made from vegetables grown by the hushand or from other local farmers, a small sausage, a hard-boiled egg, half a piece of thick toast with homemade jam, a small noodle soup, plus coffee or tea. The ingredients were fresh, heavy and delicious. I could not wrap my head around it how can they make money from that. Anyway, though the chance to revisit them will be very slim for me, I appreciate very much the encounter...

The two ladies that run the shop are very kind and experts in her craft. Most of the food comes from her own production, from flowers to fruits.
