I was recommended a popular local restaurant called Ramen Shinta just a little south in Nanto City. They had a rather large menu of ramen, but for first timers, they recommended their Salt Ramen, but apparently the Chicken Ramen is also popular. Who am I to doubt their recommendations? So I ordered a Shio DX with all the toppings for 1390¥ with deeper broth for 80¥ more. Based on other reviewers, I also ordered a Chicken Nanban for 480¥.
That meal was very satisfyingly delicious. The deeper broth option was definitely worth it, as it was strong, salty, and savory with a nice hint of chicken stock. There were two kinds of chicken, a slice of chashu, and a half-egg, every one soft and perfect. The thing noodles were a nice medium texture and reasonably portioned.
And that Chicken Nanban... crunchy, crispy, salty, dripping with egg, green onion, and tartar sauce on top. Enjoy it first while its hot and you'll be in chicken heaven. Coming here might be worth it...
