Turkey Lokanta Kelebek — Restaurant in Nishihara

As someone familiar with Turkish cuisine, I was both surprised and impressed by this restaurant. Although there are no Turkish people involved in running the place, the Japanese chefs here have done an outstanding job capturing the authentic flavors of Turkey. From the spices to the textures, everything tasted spot on. You can tell a lot of heart and effort went into understanding and preparing these dishes.

Okinawa da kebab var mı acaba diye araştırma yapınca bu restoranı gördük ve yolumuzun üzerinde olduğu için uğramak istedik. Yorumlarda dükkan sahiplerinin Türk olmadığı Japon çift olduğu yazıyordu baya şaşırmıştım. Gerçektende öyleymiş. İkisi de çok nazik ve güler yüzlüdür. Türk olduğumuzu söylediğimiz zaman bizimle muhabbet ettiler. Hatta şehrimiz Konya'da gitmişler. Ezogelin çorba normalde çok sevmem ama buradaki çok lezzetliydi. İskender de baya lezzetliydi. Midye dolma türkiyedekinden biraz farklıydı ama oda çok iyiydi. Okinawa da hatta belki Japonya'daki en iyi Türk restoran olabilir. Beklentimin çok ama çok üstündeydi. Duvardaki tabaklar aksesuarlar, kendimi Türkiyedeymişim gibi hissettirdi. Türk müzikleri çalıyordu ve iki kez Tarkan çaldı. Atatürk resmi de vardı.
