Volks — Restaurant in Nishinomiya

My favourite family restaurant chain in Japan. All dishes come with free unlimited salad bar. As some salad stapels like tomatoes and broccoli can be a little expensive in Japan you can really get your money's worth. The salad bar also now includes cakes. You can also pay extra to get the soup and bread bar but I think you can save carbs and money by filling up on your main dish and the salad bar. You can get a hamburg steak for about 1300 yen or a steak from about 2000 yen. I got a hamburg with a piece of grilled chicken breast and some cut slices of steak for about 1700 yen. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that the alcohol is not especially cheap and unlike almost all other such restaurants they don't have a drink bar for unlimited softdrinks. I've had lunch and dinner for hundreds times. The food is really good actually. Not a " family restaurant " quality. So not a cheap meal here. Especially japanese " ハンバーグ " is totally different from the others'. About staffs, in my opinion, I don't know why but part-timers are mostly women and they are courteous and some of them are quite friendly BUT all the male staffs so far who seem full-time or managers have never been smiling inside and outside of the store. Never. At least I've never seen even one of them smiling a bit. I mean the current one and all the former male staffs. It's like a mystery. They make meals taste worse for me. But besides them, it's a good steakhouse overall. Queueing on every lunchtime at weekends. Not crowded...

R171号線沿いにあるステーキチェーン店です。日曜日のランチタイムに家族2人で訪問しました。お店の前に広めの駐車場がありますが、フォルクスで食事をすると会計時に平日90分土日祝120分のサービス券が貰えます。テーブル席も広めでゆったり出来たし、ファミレスながらちょっとした高級感はありました。私はフォルクスハンバーグランチ１４６３円税込を注文しました。このメニューには最初からスープバー、サラダバー、パンビュッフェ、ライス(おかわり自由)が付いてます。スープバーはコーンスープ、玉子と椎茸の中華スープ、牛スジの野菜スープの3種類あったがどれも美味しかったです。サラダバーも種類が豊富で良かったです。レタスはシャキシャキしていて美味しかったし、ポテトサラダや枝豆とかも美味しくておかわりしました。ただデザートらしき食べ物はコーヒーゼリーとぶどうゼリーとスライスされたみかんくらいでした。パンは全部で7種類あったが、くるみパンやクロワッサンが美味しくて何回かおかわりしました。メインのフォルクスハンバーグも柔らかくてとても美味しかったです。店員さんは皆親切で好感持てました。唯一残念なのがドリンクバーが無かった事です。それと食事代を少しでも節約したい方にはフォルクスハンバーグシンプルランチ979円税込(ライス付き)があります。これは上記のフォルクスハンバーグランチからスープバー、サラダバー、パンビュッフェを省いたメニューです。そこからサラダバーだけ付けたり自由に選べます。総じて料理も美味しかったし、接客も良かったので満足でき...
