If you visit the aquarium in Oita (Umi-tamago), this café inside the aquarium is a great place to relax. Located next to the entrance, perfect place to rest between the various shows (dolphin dance & walrus interaction to name a few). On warmer days, you can even step out to the patio area that overlooks the ocean.

The food like most foods at theme cafes is very gimmicky and not the best, but the deserts were pretty good. You can easily order from the ticket machine which is available in multiple languages and has pictures, you then give the ticket to the servers at the front counter and wait...

可愛い料理がいただける大変眺めの良いカフェです。

しかし頻繁にメニューと決算方法が変わる上に、うみたまご公式ホームページによる告知も何もないため、最初に来た方は大変戸惑われると思います。

うみたまご公式ホームページの方のメニュー写真の更新がよく遅れており、実際にはないメニュー写真が掲載されていることがままあるため、カフェに訪れる際は事前にメニューをダウンロードしておくことをオススメいたします。

券売機も２種類あり、ひとつは現金のみ対応と思われる券売機。 もうひとつは現金が千円札と小銭しか使えないが、一部オンライン決済に対応した券売機。 どちらをメインで稼働させるつもりか現在不明のため、一応千円札は多目に持っていくといいかもしれません。

店内での注文ルールの周知不足もそうですが、年パス保持者(？)さんがどこで割引サービスを受ければいいのか入口付近で困惑している姿を見かけて、そう言えば事前に分かるような記載はどこにもなかったなと思いました。

痒い所に絶妙に手が届いていないのが残念ですが、料理は本当に美味しかったですし、見た目も特別...
