When I got here I was the only one in the restaurant and got to chat with the owner who was lovely, although we did have to use google translate to speak to eacj other. He helped me pick a good dinner option as I was quite tired and dehydrated from a long hike which was appreciated. The food was wonderful, and I'm glad I was recommended it.

A true Japanese experience and delicious food. Sitting on Tatami mats, great variety of soba, sashimi, tempura and all kinds of small dishes. The host was very kind and patient, showing us pictures to explain every dish and set combo.

木曽路巡りと赤沢森林鉄道の帰りにランチで立ち寄りました。 何の事前情報も無かったのですが店頭の看板に「新そば打ち始めました」と書いてあったので入店しました。 入ってもなかなかお店の方がいらっしゃらなかったので少し不安になりましたが呼び掛けに応じて下さった店員の方はとても親切で安心しました。 ざるそばは二枚盛りになっていて手打ちそばで美味しかったのですがツユの猪口が地元の檜？の猪口でツユの香りよりも檜の香りが鼻について少し残念でした。 肝心のそばはボリュームがあって美味しかったです。 子供が天丼を頼んだのですがビックリするほどのボリュームで別皿に避けないとご飯が見えないほど大盛の天ぷらでした。 大満足でした。

The staff were super friendly and accommodated our vegetarian diets. They have a dedicated sushi chef and made us a number of custom items to accommodate us. The final bill was also shockingly cheap for the 5 of us. We used Google translate and a lot of hand gestures and it ended up being one of the best meals...

At this restaurant we've eaten the best Kaisen Don (sashimi rice bowl) ever! It's a true hidden gem with very friendly staff. The menu and the spoken language is Japanese only, but if you have Google translator and a positive attitude you'll surely be able to order the...
