Roz&Mary Cafe — Restaurant in Otsu

I went there because I heard it is a dog-friendly cafe.

The first impression was the owner sounded a little “cold” when I called to make a reservation and even when we reached there they were not particularly welcoming.

Dogs are only allowed in the terrace area. It was 36 degree although we went there at 11am (the earliest time the cafe opens) it was quite hot and a lot of mosquitoes. Although the garden was quite pleasant it became unbearably too hot for my dog and we decided to leave after the meal. Then, finally the owner brought my dog some water. It was nice chatting with her. However, to rate the overall experience there, I would say it was not-so-attentive to the customers, but not too bad.

As for the curry, it was not the kind of “Indian”-style curry I like but something tastes between Japanese curry and hayashi rice. The curry chicken with bones was actually two chicken wings which I think were overly cooked and became too tender which taste more like a stew.

I may go there again when the season is better - maybe just for the chiffon cakes but not...

24年10月11日に訪れました。 森の中の別荘風のカフェで、気候のいい時期だったので、テラス席でいただきました。 住宅街にあるのに、木々がしげっていて、落ち着きます。 近江牛のボロネーゼ、おからのサラダ、季節のスープ(カボチャ、プラス50円) スパイスからブレンドした自家製カレーや、自家栽培のハーブを使用したパスタ、毎日焼き上げるシフォンケーキが人気だそうです。 テラス席ではペット同伴できます。 おからのサラダもしっとりしていて美味しかったです。 パスタも絶品。 また、デザートを食べ...
