Shiki sanshoku — Restaurant in Otsu

Amazing location right at biwa lake, the restaurant has outdoor seats and well as a massive grass lawn in the back overseeing Lake Biwa. The decor is nicely done there is a wall with all different kinds of ingredients in jars.The place is clean and well maintained. Everything in our order was freshly made to order and tasted amazing. Overall highly recommended. Service was a bit disorganized because of the Sunday rush, maybe a digital ordering system could help the servers as I can understand that it’s difficult to manage with a full restaurant. Lunch with my wife. My wife’s order still didn’t come after I’d almost finished my lunch. Complained and was told to ‘wait’. Finally arrived 30 minutes after order and when I complained I was told ‘it takes 10 minutes to make’?!… they just forgot the order (we could hear the chef getting angry) but couldn’t be honest about it 🤬No real apology or service to make up for it. 【２回目の訪問】 美味しかったので１回目から１週間後、また利用させていただきました。今度はディナーで。

親戚と８人で予約。１５人ほど座れそうな大きな丸テーブルに案内されました。対面まで遠く、大声でないと会話できないのが少し残念でした。また、大人数でもメニューが一つしかなく、もう１冊頼んでも「ありません」とのことでした。改善望みます。

前回「白ご飯がなさそう」と投稿しましたが、店員さんに聞くと「大、中、小」から用意してくれます。メニューには載ってませんが。

味は安定の美味しさ、店員さんも皆さん流暢な日本語で丁寧です。

前回はなかったランチメニューや、夜も利用可能なセットメニューもできてたので、写真追加しました。

【１回目の訪問】 元はカフェのあった建物が改装され、素敵な中華料理屋さんになってました。オープン３日間は特別価格になっており、11:30に訪れましたが駐車場も満杯で、なんとか駐車して入店。名前を記入して１５分ほど待って席へ。

広々とした店内、元カフェの時はシンプルで 少し淋しい内装でしたが、綺麗に改装され中国らしいオブジェや調度品で見事に中華料理屋さんに生まれ変わっていました。スタッフの数も多く、皆さん中国人の方らしく、接客も丁寧で活気がありました。座席数も多く、かなり待たされるかと思いましたが、全ての料理は５〜１０分ほどで提供され、どの料理も本格的な味付けで盛り付けも綺麗で美味しかったです。
