Really relaxing and tasty dinner experience! Even though we had a language barrier, we were still welcomed warmly by the chef and hostess. It is a family run restaurant I sensed has been lovingly passed down through generations. We enjoyed chiraishi bowls and some omakase sushi. All the sushi was incredibly fresh and we were given large portiona. We also appreciated all the little snacks and extra touches which made it memorable. Best of all, it was not pretentious at all and the prices were very reasonable. Thank you for this authentic and local experience!

A gem! Lovely freshly made sushi but the 5 star deal here is being served by possibly the best waitress you will ever experience. A delightful diminutive Grandmotherly character who knows and lives proper old-school service. Nothing is too much trouble, she knows how to make you feel comfortable and she is always one step ahead! A rare experience these days.

The sushi was delicious, the fish was amazingly fresh, the owner is this lovely lady who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and happy. Highly recommend it, the price was also very good.

Best sushi I have ever had hands down. The seafood bowl had a great ratio of fish to rice, and the fish was delicious. The older couple who owned it were so sweet, and service was fantastic. Whatever you order the nice lady will bring miso soup that was fire and a salad. You will be full. You get matcha tea automatically and the sake was very good as well. The only downside is it's smaller so not a ton of seating but there is a table for larger groups of 6-8. Though it's not a normal table with chairs it's traditional seating on the floor. There is seating with chairs but I don't think for...

After visiting Milk Kobo and had a cheese tart and some pudding, we decided to have a small dinner before retiring back to the hotel. Wanted to go to Kuremutsu for some yakitori but unfortunately it was closed. We ran out of options and luckily Umezushi was opened so we came in. Looked through the menu and ordered the Chirashi don. It was by far the best choice ever. Even the random side dishes given are thoughtful put together and made to enhance the overall experience. Totally worth it, not crowded, delicious,...
