Might be a bit biased because i did take a long time to come here, 5 hours by car then 2 hours ferry and 1 hour bus to get to the small town for this ramen. Nevertheless, was very excited to try this remove and quiet ramen shop (maybe it was off season so mostly locals). The service was excellent, got to take many pictures of the food and with the staff. The food was very very unique, never tasted any ramen like this in my life. Unique mildly charred and smokey flavor mixed with a complex soy taste! Was quite affordable at about 1200 yen with 3 pieces of charsiu! i enjoyed the whole concept of travelling the whole island for ramen a lot so that adds a lot of brownie points
would i come back? probably

The gyoza is high quality, but the taste is just ok.
I personally loved the tsukemen as it had a great umami taste with a complex broth and noodles that were all dente. My wife preferred the soy sauce ramen. Both were excellent but j like the tsukemen better.

Read moreAbsolute best ramen I've had anywhere in Japan. At first I was sceptical considering the rave reviews about this place so I approached it with some caution.
But I was wrong.
The shoyu broth is delicate yet full of umami and sweetness combined with the bouncy noodles is a pair made in heaven. This place uses actual whole bamboo shoot, not the canned stuff you get at most places and I am glad I added more as this too tastef amazing.
This is one of the only times I have ordered rice just so I could have it with the broth.
I would honestly come to Rishiri island again just to have it. One of the most complete and tasty Ramen I have...
