We first had a taste of miso manju as a welcome snack from a ryokan we stayed at, and was blown away by the fragrant red bean filling in a fresh rice-mochi-like outer shell. We loved it so much that we asked the staff where to get it. On our next trip to Hokkaido, we specially made a stop at Rusutsu to get some - it was as delightful as we remembered! The shopkeeper was very friendly, and even gave us a few pieces for free after we purchased a box. We will definitely be back, we can’t get enough of miso manju!

There was a cute little old lady selling a delicious Japanese local snack. The old lady was very friendly and kind. We only bought a small box which cost ￥660 but she charged us only ￥500. We used Google translate and we're able to have a conversation with her. We will remember her for a long time to come.

【2017.08訪問】スキー場や遊園地で有名なルスツ。そんな町の名物、みそまんじゅうを買いに梅屋さんへ。この近辺の道の駅なんかでも売ってるんだけど、折角なんでお店訪問しましょ。梅屋さんは創業100年を超えるんだとか。老舗菓子店なんですね！引き戸を開け中に入ると「いらっしゃいませー！」めんこいおネエちゃんがハキハキと対応してくれます(#^.^#) ■みそまんじゅう 12個660yen ちなみに1個からも買えるそうですヨ(@52) このみそまんじゅう、原材料を見てビックリ。・小麦粉・小豆・黒糖・ザラメ・米粉・水飴・塩ムム！み、味噌入ってねぇじゃん(苦笑) 味噌っぽいビヂュアルですけどねぇぇ？？なんでだべ？？大きさは4～5センチくらいの一口サイズ。モッチモチな皮の中に十勝小豆のこし餡がモッコリ詰まってます。甘すぎず上品で、とっても美味しいお饅頭です（●＾q＾●）賞味期限が2日しかないので注意が必要ですが、無添加の証ですね。子供でもお年寄りでも、安心して食べられるおやつですのでルスツに来た際は是非。ごちそうさま。
