Used to come here for nice occasions from time to time for fresh seafood. I moved away and missed the fresh squid and sashimi and paid it a visit recently. Still high-quality fish and extremely fresh squid. If you've never had squid with clear flesh, you need to try it. It melts. It's like nothing else you'll ever eat. There is only about a 15 minute window for the optimum texture for this type of squid.

Traditional Japanese dining experience. The menu is mainly in Japanese, but our host was more than patient and excepted our orders from the sets that we found online with pictures. The food was absolutely delicious and the service is what Japan is legendary for. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy it. Truly authentic Japanese...

Western Japan has some of the best fish and Kasayama in Saikai lives up to these expectations. Their lunch special included 5 different types of sashimi, sides, rice, dessert, all for 2200 yen. I highly recommend ordered the ika/squid separately, as it’s some of the freshest...
