Cafe Papabu — Restaurant in Sendai

We searched on the web and thought to try this cafe. When we walked in we were greeted kindly, and loved how it felt like home. It is called Cafe Papabu. I had the herb tea and was surprised when the owner picked her own herbs outside. It was so fresh, and I appreciated that she told me about them and let me smell the leaves; orange mint and another plant with lemon in the name. The tea was delicious and I think I had about 5 cups with my cake. I enjoyed talking to the owners, a lovely couple that maintain their own patch of land with a lovely garden and a small farm. We ordered the cake set and herbal tea! The flavours were unique and aromatic and we really enjoyed it. Afterwards the owner took us to jer garden to show us the herbs that were used in the tea! Great place to stop after a visit...
