BARISTART COFFEE SHIRETOKO — Restaurant in Shari

As a first time foreign tourist in Hokkaido, I was here at this cafe that's located within the Shiretoko National Park Center, which is famous for its Venison Rice Bowl. However, when I arrived at the cafe, I was persuaded to try its "new" Venison Burger that's currently being promoted. Verdict on the Venison Burger? It's pretty good - the venison patty was tender and moist, and sandwiched between two soft buns, and the burger came with a side of thick cut potato fries with skin on them. As for the dining ambience here, it was very good - spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately, the counter service here was to me, rather disappointing - the person who took my order was grumpy...

BARISTART COFFEE SHIRETOKO - inside Shirekoto Nature Center, attracted by their poster of Roasted Venison on Rice at ¥1800! Tried it, and glad we did! Nicely presented and the raw meat lightly roasted was so tender and juicy! So impressed even we just visited Lyon of France, the gastronomical capital of the world! Very very good priced too! Will definitely come back again next time...

It was a terrible experience. While the place was suitable for kids, the food was nothing much to speak for. It was expensive, microwave food. The service was terrible. I asked the service stuff if we can seperate the curry and the rice but they said no because it was a set? I find it ridiculous given that I just needed it on a seperate plate.
