D'z Racing Cafe Garage — Restaurant in Shibukawa

Came to Gunma partly to check this place out only to find it closed. All the info I could find online said it should have been open that day and I wasn't the only person that got caught out because lots of other people showed up while I was there and looked just as puzzled as I was especially since the owners hadn't bothered to even put up a sign on the door saying they wouldn't be open and why.

Too bad because it looked like a nice place to visit from what I could see through the windows. Took pictures of the cars outside, some of which were looking disappointingly rough, and left. This was one of the places i was very exited to go to. First of all there was few cars outside to take a nice look at and the cafe looked like time has done its thing to this place. But the inside had very dice decorations and lots of souvenir, all though everything felt maybe little overpriced. From the menu I had the curry and the soy milk pudding and those were very good. Honestly, kind of a tourist trap. The cars have certainly seen better days and the derelict FC RX-7 (Savannah) rotting behind the place just kind of sums it up. Looks like it might have been cool once but now it just comes across as a place for the owner to store their toys. Lots of figures and Gunpla inside as well as overpriced merchandise.
