Just a quick 7-minute walk from our Hotel Route Inn, we stumbled on this local Japanese spot that ended up being the highlight of our whole Japan trip. The food was incredible - super tasty and they didn't hold back on portion sizes! But what really made it special was how regular customers treated us like old friends. Even with the language barrier, they managed to chat and joked with us via Google Translate, and make us feel totally welcome. We were laughing and connecting with locals in a way I never expected.
