Even you don't like Gohei Mochi, you should definitely try one here. I believe their Gohei Mochies are the only ones here in Shinshiro which are very authentic and special. I'm sure it's worth coming from all the way...

Very popular and probably the only dining place near the train station. Famous for Goheimochi but miso dengaku and soba noodle were also great. Those are pretty much the menu they have. Take away of Goheimochi is also available.

２０２３年５月２８日、日曜日、午前１０時頃、ふたりで初訪問。 テーブル席が６卓の小さなお店でしたが、お土産品もたくさん売っていました。 私たちは、メニュー表から、 五平餅　３００円✕２ こんにゃく味噌󠄀田楽（１皿）３００円✕２ そば（温）７５０円 うどん（温）７５０円 を注文しました。 こんにゃく味噌󠄀田楽の味噌󠄀は甘く感じましたが、柚香味と柚七味を容れた瓶が添えられていて、自由に使っても良いとのことで、田楽にかけたら、風味が激変して美味しかったです。 五平餅は、これだけで、何もかけずに、感動モノの美味しさでした。 そばとうどんは、麺はあまり美味しく感じませんでしたが、汁に柚香味を入れたら、絶品汁になりました。 単品だけなら、五平餅は、圧倒的な評価値５だと思います。 五平餅とこんにゃく味噌󠄀田楽の味噌󠄀は、違うものを使っているそうです。 私は柚香味があまりに気に入ってしまったので、２本（１本　６００円）お土産に買ってしまいました。 写真では、柚香味と柚七味の札が逆になっています。相方が、おばちゃんに「札が逆になっているよ。」と教えてあげました。 私たちは、一番乗りの客でしたが、すぐ後にファミリーがひと組、ふた組、と入って来ました。五平餅は、すごく人気があるようでした。
