Cowbell Restaurant — Restaurant in Shiraoi

Was told by our Airbnb host that this was a good place to try the local wagyu and it was value for money. Must say we were not disappointed, we tried various cuts and the local pork and chicken (which was really fresh and tender) as well as the sausages.

Came back again a 2nd time for dinner when we were passing by the area on our way back.

Stopped by on our way back from Noboribetsu and were so lucky to make it just before last order! The Shiraoi beef was exceptional — beautifully marbled and full of flavour. The set menu offered a range of different cuts, each with its own unique texture, making it a great way to sample the famous local wagyu. Came to this shop because there was a queue at amano but it was a pleasant surprise. There was no queue and it was a lot more well ventilated as the space was much bigger. The premium sirloin was chef's kiss, it just melts in your mouth. The round steak was really good too, a bit meatier but still very tender. The sausages...
