Power Beach — Restaurant in Suo-Oshima

Interesting "American" Cafe with a beautiful view of a beach. In contrast to the minimalist Japanese decor, they have lots of American artifacts all over.

Food is very good. The Shrimp 🍤, chicken, fries etc... more American. The burger had a slight twist. The fruit bowl was surprisingly good.

The stairs was quite steep. Difficult for Seniors. But the 2nd floor had a great view with a big window, which can be hot. Fortunately, we had an overcast.

Wheelchairs are limited to the 1st floor but may not fit inside with all the stuff around. They have 2 outside sitting areas. One near the parking and a single table at the back.

Too bad it was too cold for a dip...

Often times there will be restaurants that attempt to MERICA FI restaurants that borders on corny, overdone, and irritating. But not Power beach, this amazing beachy burger place is just off the main road when entering Suooshima. Its atmosphere brings on that quintessential beach vibe equivalent to a So Cal beach’s bums wet dream. The music playlists is like vocal serotonin entering the ear. This is now one of my favorite places!!!!! Oh and the food!!! The spices...

Love the food. Love the location (minus the parking) and love the service. There are English menus but most everything has a poster with a photo of the food options. The views are spectacular and the beach is clear and calm so swimming and viewing. I’ve been twice so far and I got their beach burger both time which were amazing! Heads up if you get the chilli dog it is a hotdog with ketchup and hamburger on it…not a true chilli dog but...
