Sun Sun Garden — Restaurant in Suo-Oshima

Okay, admittedly it took me a few attempts at navigation to finally get to this lovely gem of a place. It is a bit in a residential area so for me was a bit confusing. But once I found the place the parking was ample and so glad I finally checked this restaurant out. Originally, I came across Sun Sun Garden while looking up places on the island I recently moved to.

Cozy atmosphere, great prices for delicious meals and treats. I had the 肉うどんとかき氷のいちご (beef udon and strawberry shaved ice with condensed milk). おいしい it was delicious and good size helping of food and dessert. They had ran out of the grape and banana smoothie which I was sad about and wanted to try haha but maybe next time!

There will definitely be a next time. My Japanese isn't great (even though I am Japanese American) but the sweet couple that runs the place were very welcoming. The gentleman even sat and chatted with me best we could with the language barrier. It made me feel welcomed being so new to the island and shy about my lack of Japanese language skills.
