Loved the chill, laid back but authentic Japanese roadside eating house vibe. Had the sashimi set meal with chawanmushi, and the seafood was really fresh and full of flavour..

Overall ambience was good too, with staff quite attentive, but not excessively so.

Bonus tip #1: for English speakers, you'll want to ask for Wadakiyomi-san, who speaks amazingly well enough to hold a conversation. She's really chatty too, and a joy to talk to, especially when she's free!

Bonus tip #2: as you leave the place, cross the road to the other side and look to the left. There's a really nice waterfall (Tarumi Waterfall) that you can walk over to.
