Tofu-resutaurant Mameyoshi — Restaurant in Tabuse

We came for the spectacular scenery and were thoroughly mesmerized by the food. The chef kindly explained each dish and how to enjoy them. Each bite was a step in a tofu paradise. The garden was beautiful too, like in a fairy tale. Like everyone else who wrote their reviews, the food and service here deeply inspired me. Also, the road to drive up to the restaurant was a little windy, and small Buddhas were saying “Everything’s gonna be OK.” A considerate touch, just like how the chefs poured their heart into crafting...

Let me prefix this by saying this is the best tofu I’ve had while I’ve been in Japan the service was excellent and the views where out of this world if I was a traveling monk I would probably eat here every day but alas I am not and they had the cutest dog and two turtles in the yard where you eat and everything was kawaii and at the time there was the two parents and there daughter it seemed working there but amazing shop...

Absolutely delicious. Six or seven different tofu dishes, including a tofu pudding dessert. This is real tofu. The flavor of the tofu is the star here. Everything is hand made, fresh, and beautiful. The view is fantastic, too. The lunch course was about ¥2000 and when we ordered coffee after the meal, the kind owner gave us cookies and mikan. Highly...
