TONDAMACHI CAFE — Restaurant in Takatsuki

Seeing that this cafe is a few steps away from Hankyu Tonda, I thought the price for lunch and dessert for two people would set me back at least 5,000 yen, but to my surprise when I paid the bill, I only paid 4,080 yen.

For context, this cafe is located near cheap fast food options such as Nakau and Matsuya, so of course a higher price range would be reasonable because of its location, nice and cozy interior, and the feeling that you can stay longer to chat with your friend and slowly enjoy your meal.

First, my companion and I ordered a four-cheese pizza and a herb chicken gratin. They both came with a salad and a cold soup for starters. I loved the homemade salad dressing and the cold soup was such a relief after spending time outdoors on a particularly hot sunny day in May.

Both dishes were very good, and the dining experience was made even better by the warm and welcoming staff who were just very attentive to our needs. One kept refilling our glasses with lemon water. The other served our orders with a smile. They also made sure to keep us provided with hand-sanitizing wet tissue.

The crème brûlée and cheesecake also went well with coffee. It may look simple on the outside, but the taste tells something else.

The indoor plants complimented the wooden furniture. You don’t get to see much of the outside, which is a blessing because all you would see are passersby and commuters. It is designed to be a haven for busy mothers and their babies who just need a place to catch up without having to travel far from the station, or for a busy office worker who has his suitcase with him and just wants to drink his coffee in peace and quiet.

Lovely little place with very kind staff and voluminous lunch sets. Reasonable price and pretty decent food menu together with great decor and funky Bgm made this a good place to eat. If you order the gratin (much recommended), be careful :...

阪急富田駅、階段登ってすぐの場所にある、地元で人気のイタリアンカフェです。 時間帯により満席で入れないこともあるので、待ち合わせなどには予約をオススメ。お一人の方、グループの方、お子様連れとお客さんは様々。

お店のおすすめは自家製のベシャメルソースがたっぷり味わえる、グラタンやドリア。 なるほどまろやかなソースが、具材に絡んでとっても美味しいです。 お家で作るのは大変なので、みなさんもぜひ味わってみてください。

季節のパングラタンに惹かれましたが、最近ナスを食べていなかったので今日はナスグラタンにしました。熱々のうちにいただきました。

デザートも食べたかったのですが、また今度！

本日は季節のメニュー、ホタルイカと春キャベツのペペロンチーノを注文。

サラダはキウイのドレッシングでした。

ぷりぷりとしたホタルイカ、プチっと弾けて楽しい食感です。新鮮なホタルイカが、思いの外たくさんのっています。 春キャベツとミニトマトの甘みと、ホタルイカの出汁が、太めの生麺にしっかり絡んで美味しい。 パンにソースをつけて、ぺろっと完食。
