This is a very special place! One of our most unique lunch experiences throughout our 4 weeks trip in Japan. All dishes are made out of Yellowtail Amberjack, which is shiped from here to many fine gourmet restaurants all over Japan (maybe even world?). We had this fish from the Kagoshima area already at the Burisho in Kyoto (see my reviews!).

Take a full menu, and you will have a great experience. We have asked for support to order, as the ordering machine is not self-explanatory (unless you can read Japanese). The very friendly ladies were very helpful! We loved the place! Don't be demotivated by the outside aopearance of the place and it's harbor environment, it's safe and very clean. When we were there (after 1:30 pm, therefore already quite empty) only locals have been in the restaurant, which is always a sign for high quality. Value for money cannot...

I almost feel bad writing an English review about this place, because it’s clearly a spot loved by locals — and I can see why. The sashimi platter and rice bowls were absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. We had such a satisfying meal here.

The restaurant is on the second floor of an unassuming building, so you might easily miss it if you’re not looking carefully. Orders are placed through a QR code menu — there isn’t a separate English menu, but the QR code can be translated easily on your phone. It worked perfectly for us.

A local place with amazing food and an authentic atmosphere. It truly deserves all the...

Fresh from the sea and very good value. Pick your meal using the ticket vending machine, a staff would lead you to your table as you give her the meal ticket. You can get free tea or water using one of the self-service machines. Then wait for your meal and enjoy! Don't worry about the fish head with the meal set, they slow cook it so that even the bones are edible and in fact, it's actually the best item on the set, goes very well with rice, highly recommended. Limited English but plenty of parking,...
