LOCOMOTION COFFEE AND BED — Restaurant in Tateyama

This place was great and the staff was nice and friendly. Room a lil bit small, bathroom clean, We stayed for 1 night. Location very close to tateyama st take arround 1 - 2 min by walk. We arrived at the hotel at 22.05 (late check in but already email and inform the hotel) and the staff still wait for us even the lamps turn off already. Stay here because early morning go to Alpine Route and we told to staff that we want to save our bags at the hotel and take the bags after 16.00 but unfortunately we lost out last train to tateyama, so we just inform to the hotel that we cant take our bags. This is a great place to stay while visiting Tateyama and the Japanese Alps. The whole building is clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I felt very welcome. The food (breakfast, dinner, and coffee) is really good. The onsen is comfortable. The male dorm room is well laid out. Each bed also has space for belongings, and a large locker. There is a light at the head of the bed. The floor, ceiling, and 3 walls of each bed area is solid wood. There is a curtain at the opening to the main part of the dorm. Stayed on Locomotion for 1 night (for Tateyama Alpine Route) and I wished we could stay longer. Love the surrounding of this hotel and also strategically located next to the station.

The room was okay, neat and compact, we could put or luggages and took out the clothes 😀 The bathroom was in the 1st floor and incredibly clean, there was an onsen, unfortunately we couldn’t try the onsen since we had no time.

The service from Locomotion was excellent. We checked in a bit late yet they wanted to wait for us.
