Good food, clean modern California style cafe for surfers. Had the chance to eat island style home made cuisine at the original Green-Hill guesthouse. Friendly owners and nice family run business with several generations of surfers. One of them is considered a legendary surfer and was featured in Sipping JetStream the movie, a man of few words but friendly and laid-back. The youngest son Daichi is a pro surfer but super laid-back, helping the cafe and taking guests on surf trips ... Cute little cafe and shop. Eat real food or just snack, like we did.

Chips were good. Pancakes were okay, but the chocolate ice cream, giant dollop of cream, sliced banana, chocolate sauce and berries more than made up for it. Sweet overload, but chips pair well for the sweet and salty types.

The couch seating is great for little ones, especially when they are tuckered out. Seats about 20.

We stayed at Greenhill Pension for a week and experienced a wonderful stay with great hospitality and good vibes. The place is located directly above Tebiro Beach which makes it great for surfers. We have felt very welcome and loved the concept of bringing people together. Thank you for the great time on Amami. We would love to come back...
