British Hills Ascot Tea Room — Restaurant in Ten-ei

Perfect atmosphere. But we came on a day when a typhoon was passing by Japan. The weather changed so swiftly that day. I am not sure, but that may be the reason the tables and seats outside weren’t used. And so we had to wait “for a while”. When it was almost our turn, it’s was time we had to go to our (scheduled) guided tour at the Manor House. Thus, later we had to come to the tea room again, and had to queue again, after the tour.

I'm guessing one of the very few places in Japan you can have an authentic British high tea. Warm scones, jam and clotted cream. Served with a choice of leaf teas. Really nice and a cozy atmosphere. A little pricey but...

英国🇬🇧テーマパーク的なリゾート、ブリティッシュ・ヒルズの中にあるティールーム。11月の祝日、10:30頃に夫婦2人で利用。トラディショナル・サンドイッチと自家製キッシュ・ロレーヌ、紅茶(セイロンウヴァ・本日の紅茶［キャラメル］)を頂きました。 建物・室内とも雰囲気満点で英国気分が味わえます。メニューも充実しており、朝10時からアフターヌーンティーやハイティーがオーダーできる店はめったにないでしょう。 ポットにはきちんとティーコージーも付きます。ティーカップはミントンかな〜と思ったらノリタケでしたが。紅茶のミルクは頼まないと出てこないのでご注意を。 おそらく我々が当日最初の客で、何しろ山の中なので空いているのかなと思っていたら、11時頃から続々とお客がやってきて満席になりました。やはり女性客が多いようです。 サンドイッチも丁寧な作り(キュウリサンドの断面の美しいこと！)ですし、パンも日本の普通の食パンと食感が違う(ちょっとボソボソ系？)ように感じました。 ちょっとしたツッコミどころはありますが、全般的には雰囲気も料理も十分に満足できますし、英国テーマパークの一環だと思えばなおさら楽...
