Not alot of options in the area and Kawai Sushi stands out as one of the better options. They have teishoku sets and also chirashi, nigiri and single dish options. For those that can't read japanese - theres no pictures but the menu is simple enough or use google lens to translate to get by. Chuutoro nigiri (semi fatty tuna sushi - 8 pieces) set me back by $36 aud but if you're trying to save then the teishoku (set meals) are fairly affordable from $9-$13 aud.

Wonderful couple running this small but cozy sushi restaurant. We had a party of 5 and sat on the tatami floor. My tall Dutch friend couldn’t sit on the floor so there was a chair that fit ok so his legs were comfortable during our 90 minute meal. We had great sushi, karaage and soup. There are tvs at every table so you can watch as you relax and enjoy your food. Will return with more friends again! Thanks!!

The owner is truly kind. He makes the food with his wife and honestly the food is almost fine dine level, yet it’s so affordable! We definitely found a hidden gem! If you are there and you don’t pass by, you are missing a lot!
