Drive In Isshin — Restaurant in Towada

I was looking for a retro cafe ( 喫茶店) around Aomori and it was recommended by many locals to try this one. The fruit parfait looks and tastes amazing. Food is also delicious. However, please do not expect fast and super friendly service here. There was only 2 -3 staff working for both front and back of house so they work with their own paces which I was totally fine with that. If you wish to order their famous parfaits, Please do it as soon as you arrive because it takes 20-30 minutes to make. Or order it together with your main meals so they can start to prepare...

Nice cafe-style restaurant. They have comic books to read and games to play while you wait for the food. Great atmosphere. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but that is normal for small cafes like this. Last time I got lasagna, which was delicious, but smaller than expected. They are great with their parfaits. That’s the reason me and my friends choose this restaurant out of other places...

昼過ぎに訪問。 駐車場は2台分くらい空いてました。 口コミから時間がかかる事は想定内で混んでいたら待つ覚悟で行きました。

入ると正面カウンター内の男性スタッフから「ただいま満席です」と言われました。 普通であれば次に「こちらの用紙にお名前を～」や「こちらでお待ちください」などの案内がくるのが一般的だと思いますが、何も無く数秒見合ったまま変な空気が流れました。 少なくとも見える範囲のカウンター席は空いていましたし、スペース的に中で待てる余裕もありましたが、何も案内がないため、「えっと外で待てばいいですか？」と聞いたところ、無愛想な感じで「いつになるかわかりません」と質問の答えになっていない返答。 予想外だったため、どういう事なのか考えて、また数秒見つめ合ったまま、気まずい感じになりました。 遠回しに「待たれても困る」ということを言ってるんだと理解したので「わかりました」と帰りました。

商売している以上、客が来なくなるのは困ると思いますが、必要以上に忙しくなるのは嫌なんでしょうね。 たまに接客に難がある店の口コミを見る事はあります。 店のルールに従えば何も問題ありませんし、料理さえ良ければいいので、今まで気にせず訪れてましたが入店拒否は初めてで...
