Torisen — Restaurant in Toyoake

Passed through Nagoya and was told by someone who used to live in the area this was THE PLACE to visit. The name itself means “chicken speciality” so the menu consists of 99% chicken. Had their chicken sashimi, i was scared at first but what the heck. It was fine. If you like sashimi, it literally tastes like chicken sashimi. Wouldn’t go out of my way to eat it. Their fried chicken is AMAZING. they have their own seasoning which is heavily made up of black/white? Pepper. Had 2 orders of karaage and multiple orders of their wings. Drinking beer while eating amazing chicken and talking to the friendly owner/chef was the highlight of the night. Downside: access is terrible. The closest station is about a 20-30 minute walk, taxis are no where to be found and won’t go out of their way to pick you up from the station. But you can get...

基本、持ち帰りでしか利用しない！！イートインで利用すると、店の雰囲気はあまりよくないし、何より汚くて、ボロイ！！忙しくなるとめちゃくちゃ殺伐とした雰囲気で、とても居心地が悪い！！で、注文で、俺はカリカリな食感が好きだから電話で、長めに揚げて欲しい！って頼むと、わかりました！と言うわりには実際持ち帰って食べてみると、ベチャベチャで逆に、これちゃんと火が通ってて揚がってんのか！！？？と疑いたくなるような出来栄え！！手羽先は、世界の山ちゃんの方が、身も大きてく、美味しいかも！？特に揚げ物やっとる奴が横柄で怠慢だからダメ！！客を下に見とんのか！！？？と思うぐらい！！ホント味とかも...

口コミで店内に虫が出たりだとか色々書いてあったたので身構えながら行ったけど、全然そんな事なくて良い意味で裏切られました。

古いながらも手入れされているように感じました。 料理も非常に美味しかったです！ 甘口、普通、激辛と食べましたが、どれもそれぞれの良さがあるので、是非とも食べ比べてみてください。 辛味については胡椒のみで調整しているので、唐辛子の辛さが苦手な人でも食べれると思います。

梅水晶の鳥軟骨バージョンがあったので物珍しさから頼みましたが、これが箸休めに最高でした！
